Little DIY work

little DIY work of mine. The hotshoe/pc flash mount came, curiously, without a centre contact on the hotshoe side.

 

No problem. Drilled a small hole in the middle. Trimmed a nail to just the right length. Put a bead of solder on the tip. Drop the nail into the hole, hot-solder the nail, and voila, finished product.

Wall-e

Caught Wall-e with pei ling over the weekend.  Sort of a stress relief / butt-sore relief from her studying. 

My word, I have to say, this has to be one of the better animation I have seen of recent years.  Lovable characters, good animation, good story line, and more important, good educational potential for the youth.

Just hope the parents who brought the kids to watch can see beyond the surface and re-enforce the message to their charge.

On a similar note,  I am trying to make a solar panel for my backpack that I carry on a daily basis.  Looks like someone already made one.
